Your main responsibilities:


The Project Manager uses their leadership, management and communications skills to ensure project success. They plan, manage and monitor project variables (budget, schedule, quality, etc.) from start to finish. They coordinate and support the team to achieve results.

 

  • Take ownership of the project objectives and scope (on both the contractual and functional levels) and identify stakeholders
  • Ensure proactive communication with stakeholders
  • Manage the project budget and schedule (deliverables, milestones, supplier’s responsibilities, etc.)
  • If required, prepare the project-management plan and do the planning of communications
  • Identify and assess risks; propose solutions to avoid them or reduce their impacts
  • Communicate resource requirements to the project sponsor
  • Ensure that everyone involved has a good understanding of the project and that they are regularly informed of the project status
  • Coordinate the activities of the persons involved in the project and ensure that tasks are accomplished
  • Monitor and control the project (content of specifications, costs, billing, schedule, quality, etc.)
  • Negotiate change requests made to the supplier, taking account of the project scope
  • Close the project (end-of-project report, post-mortem meeting, etc.)
  • Document the project and apply internal project-management standards and processes
     

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • University degree in an appropriate discipline (project management, engineering, operations research, mathematics and computer science, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Windows®, Jira, TFS, MS Project (asset)
  • Skills for managing projects and resolving complex problems
  • Ability to communicate with various stakeholders (internal/external, decision-making/operational) and bring the different implementation phases to completion (requirement analysis, configuration, client training, and follow-up)
  • Ability to identify new business opportunities
  • Available to travel internationally
  • Motivated to keep up-to-date with the latest trends in your field
  • Organizational skills; able to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a team
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual (spoken/written) in French and English (asset)
