Job Description

The Account Manager uses his or her knowledge of GIRO products and services and his or her communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills to lead and follow up on sales activities with a customer or prospect.

The Account Manager understands the business, knows the competition and maintains good relations with potential partners. In addition, he/she maintains very good relations with the various parties involved with the client to obtain all the information necessary for the development of business opportunities. He/she seeks customer satisfaction by proposing business solutions.

The Account Manager reports to the Sales Director.

Main responsibilities                                                                                           

Business development :

  • Maintain regular contact with customers to assess their needs. Develop business opportunities by proposing the addition of existing products, the development of new features or by offering additional services.
  • Aim to position GIRO products at the center of the computerized systems used by the customer.
  • Plan and prioritize sales activities in collaboration with the relevant market manager.
  • Propose events in which GIRO should participate for the relevant market. Participate and contribute to the planning of congresses, user meetings or trade fairs.
  • Promote and sell GIRO products and services through meetings, presentations and demonstrations.
  • Generate new business opportunities by soliciting new customers.
  • Ensure that customer, prospect, opportunity and proposal data is up to date in our CRM.

Business proposals :

  • Write and follow up on business proposals. Maintain relevant information in the CRM and evaluate the probability of success of opportunities.
  • Respond to various types of solicitations (requests for proposals, qualification calls, requests for information, requests for estimates, etc.).
  • Provide support to project team members who work on business proposals.

Relationship with project teams and product management :

  • Communicate new developments requested by the customers to the product owner.
  • Participate in kick off meetings for projects involving new stakeholders.

Qualifications

Skills:

  • 6+ years in logistics tool development or implementation, account management, business development or any other relevant experience.
  • Experience in logistics and/or public transportation, an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • University degree required (Bachelor's degree in IT or Administration, Master's degree an asset)
  • Bilingual French/English, other languages an asset. C2 German required for all positions in Germany.
