Job Description
SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Inspects raw material at the start of each new order for imperfections.
- Assemblers working with foam, spot check each incoming foam delivery for imperfections each morning.
- Uses hand and power tools and glue.
- Reads production dispatch report to determine which work order item to assemble.
- Gathers the necessary materials to be used to assemble the item.
- Inspects the materials for flaws and to ensure quality standards are met.
- Assembles the various components according to work instructions for the given item model.
- Checks completed work visually for accuracy.
- Assists with and is cross trained in other areas; performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures and incorporates sound safety and housekeeping practices in the day to day work environment.
- Hours are 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday –Thursday and 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Fridays.

Responsible for adhering to the established GFHP’s quality system and facility procedures in your respective department.
Responsible for identifying problems that can have an impact on product quality and reporting the information to your supervisor.
Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures and incorporate sound safety and housekeeping practices in performing day to day functions in the work environment.
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Two (2) years' experience with industrial assembly is preferred
Must have experience using tools and equipment of the type used in the performance of the actual assembly work or a demonstrated ability to use the tools.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
