Define, establish, control and maintain inspection and test equipment required by production, process engineering, quality and maintenance to comply with closure quality inspections throughout the process. Inspection and compliance review of raw materials and packaging materials. Development of procedures and work instructions required for the operation and calibration of equipment used for quality inspections.
Responsible for the gage control program (Gage Track). Maintenance of masters and gages and equipment calibration.
Responsible to coordinate the plant scales PM maintenance and calibration (currently maintenance responsibility).
Responsible to manage and replenishment of top print plates, Standard Cards for Top Print and Golden Samples.
Process and Quality compliance audits in production lines:
Traceability, standardized work, future SQC, documentation/Records
HACCP, product quality, camera Audits
CMM Programming, measurement and reports for profiles in Kilgore.
Production Video cameras assessment, evaluation and monitoring. (Including frequency charts validation).
Responsible to manage all documentation related to inspection equipment.
Perform the Cleaning and sanitation validations (North and South plant)
Training for production personnel regarding the measurement equipment.
New product measurement equipment selection and development.
Managing IMS Audits and audit findings. Interfacing with all other Third Party Auditors regarding calibration programs, micro test results and Incoming Raw Material Processes.
EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER SKILL REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED certification preferred. Technical Degree is helpful.
Minimum of three to five years’ experience from on-the-job training programs and manufacturing experience is preferred.
Some degree of understanding in plastics molding processes along with all of its support equipment.
Requires a working knowledge of test and measurement equipment used to analyze product quality.
MUST be proficient in Microsoft Excel. Ability to locate information on an electronic data base of controlled documents, procedures, training, etc.; ability to focus on details for long periods of time; internal and external customer service is required.
