General Dynamics Mission Systems in St Leonards-on-Sea currently provide a wide range of Avionic Mission Computing Systems for a wide range Military Fast Jets, Helicopters and UAV’s. Recent success has resulted in General Dynamics developing the next generation of Advanced High Performance, Safety Critical Mission Computer Systems to meet the needs of latest platforms in development by several aircraft manufacturers. These Mission Computing Systems provide the functionality that integrates aircraft systems, sensor systems and weapon systems with the information and control systems required by the aircrew to meet the demanding operational needs of these aircraft.

Job Description

As a Production Technician, you will play a major role in ensuring that the build and quality of our products, meet our very exacting requirements.

You will be taught soldering and assembly skills on both the build and repair of circuit card assemblies and electronic units.

You will need to be a good team player, but also be able to show initiative when working individually.

Qualifications

  • An understanding of soldering and assembly
  • An interest in electronics production methods
  • Willing to learn various relevant skills to allow for personal development
  • Being a team player with good communication skills
  • Capable of working on numerous tasks in parallel
  • Familiarity with IT and some knowledge of the Microsoft Office toolset.

Additional Information

This role of Production Technician has a starting salary of £22,900 to £27,000 dependant upon experience and an attractive flexible benefits package.
