General Dynamics in St Leonards-on-Sea currently provide avionic mission computing systems for a wide range of military fast jets, helicopters, and UAV’s. Recent success has resulted in General Dynamics developing the next generation of Advanced High Performance, Safety Critical Mission Computer Systems to meet the needs of latest platforms in development by several aircraft manufacturers. These Mission Computing Systems provide the functionality that integrates aircraft systems, sensor systems and weapon systems with the information and control systems required by the aircrew to meet the demanding operational needs of these aircraft.
Job Description
You will be joining an established team who provide practical and physical support to maintain the GDUK-MS Hastings facilities. Involved in supporting the successful delivery of various facilities and cross functional project works whilst maintaining robust records management and department administration.
Day to day activities may include:
- Providing assistance, support and attendance to rectify facilities services and building issues via the maintenance service desk process
- Providing basic day to day support to the Facilities Team of electrical, plumbing and mechanical technicians - maintenance and services works, project works, and business improvement works
- Providing facilities support to onsite events and visits
- Ground maintenance and seasonal site upkeep – winter gritting, snow clearance, sign cleaning, waste management
- Administration support including raising purchase orders, maintaining risk assessments and company environmental data
Qualifications
Essential:
- Educated to GCSE level
- Knowledge and working capability with MS packages
- Interest in building facilities management and maintenance schemes
- Ability to problem solve and multitask
- Effective communicator, able to adapt style and build strong working relationships internally at various levels as well as externally, e.g. contractors and external agencies
Desirable:
- Trade or tools experience beneficial but not essential
- Working Safely or equivalent beneficial but not essential
Additional Information
We offer a salary of between £22,800 - £27,800 per annum, dependant on experience and qualification, plus of flexible benefits package.
