Job Description

Are you driven by efficiency? Do you like helping other improve how they work? We currently has an opportunity for a Systems Engineer on our Engineering Infrastructure Services (EIS) Team. The mission of the EIS Team is to enable programs across the organization to launch faster, execute more efficiently, and continually integrate new tools, practices and training into the overall engineering development environment. Through business analytics and big picture thinking, you will work closely with internal users to gather requirements in order to provide recommendations on engineering tools and practices.

  • Work with internal users to gather requirements in order to provide recommendations on engineering tools and practices. 
  •  Support program execution across all Business Areas by developing and deploying customized technology
  • Support organizational compliance to engineering accreditation (e.g. CMMI, AS9100, ISO, etc.)
  • Analyze and provide reporting metrics
  • Develop test plans, cases, procedures and methods for system verification
  • Problem solve to understand the cause and effect in complex systems 
  • Review technical documentation, provide analysis 
  • Build, configure, and validate test environments. 
  • Assist in planning and coordinating test activities 
  • Conduct tests , collect customer feedback, and collaborate with other product and engineering teams 
  • Execute formal and informal test procedures, gather appropriate measures and data, analyze and interpret test data, and prepare test reports 
  • Identify, investigate and document defects, and verify solutions 
  • Develop and maintain automated test tools and scripts 
  • Expand knowledge of latest technologies, products and market trends relevant to area of work 
  • Communicating ideas and changes to  EIS and the broader organization
  • Planning and coordinating of EIS initiatives
  •  Developing  unique solutions to meet customer needs in collaboration within EIS and with other internal groups such as IT,  Finance and Learning and Development (HR) 

Qualifications

  • Experienced  4+ years in the application of software and/or system design principles 
  • Bachelor degree in applicable discipline 
  • Agile development and execution 
  • Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, JIRA/RTC, Confluence, PDMLink, Business Intelligence (PowerBI)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident

  • Strong written/verbal communication skills (including presentations to large audiences)
  • CMMI, ISO9001
