General Dynamics Mission Systems in St Leonards-on-Sea currently provide a wide range of Avionic Mission Computing Systems for a wide range Military Fast Jets, Helicopters and UAV’s. Recent success has resulted in General Dynamics developing the next generation of Advanced High Performance, Safety Critical Mission Computer Systems to meet the needs of latest platforms in development by several aircraft manufacturers. These Mission Computing Systems provide the functionality that integrates aircraft systems, sensor systems and weapon systems with the information and control systems required by the aircrew to meet the demanding operational needs of these aircraft.

Job Description

An exciting opportunity to join General Dynamics, a leading-edge defence company, as a Junior Hardware Engineer. This role would allow you to play an important part in our dynamic and innovative Manufacturing Team, working on developing test solutions for new product. You will receive both training and mentoring so allowing you to develop and achieve to your full potential.

This role provides valuable support to the Test Development Team. Using your electronics hardware knowledge, you will help develop cost effective and test solutions for product of various complexity. You will become proficient in various test solutions such as boundary scan and LabView

Qualifications

To apply for these entry level engineer roles, you will need a degree-level education in Electronics. You will also require the following:

  • Be able to demonstrate a sound theoretical knowledge of engineering principles 
  • A good understanding of  engineering development life-cycles
  • A willingness to learn and develop any gaps in experience/competence.

Additional Information

This role of Junior Hardware Engineer has a starting salary of up to £32,000 and an attractive flexible benefits package.
