Join Us as a Dynamic Product Owner – A Team Enhancing Canada’s Army Communication Capabilities!
Are you a passionate and forward-thinking individual ready to take the lead as a Product Owner? Join our innovative team, shaping the landscape and driving impactful changes in system design for the Canadian Army. You will be working with the Mobile Domain applications team responsible for artifacts used to capture the system design.
What your mission will be:
- As a Product Owner, you'll be the content management leader, orchestrating the prioritization and grooming of the Product Backlog to ensure the team is aligned and understands their mission.
- Having a vision and roadmap for where the team should focus their efforts both short and long term, clearly expressing this vision
- Optimizing Value: Maximize the value of the team's work by optimizing the Product Backlog, ensuring it's groomed, understandable, and focused on delivering high-impact results.
- Showcase your communication skills by representing the team and the company at customer events and meetings. Your voice will shape the narrative of our products.
- Collaborative Partnerships: Collaborate with program leadership, customers, adjacent teams, and stakeholders, understanding their needs and incorporating them into the evolving roadmap.
- Hybrid Team Champion: Thrive in a hybrid work environment, leading a team with diverse working styles, including remote and in-office members. Your adaptability will drive the success of the team.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years experience in System Engineering, or relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or applicable technical or scientific discipline Demonstrated experience leading, planning, and coordinating team plans and schedules Experience in Agile, Scrum, or SAFe
- Strong communication skills
- Strong problem solving and analysis skills
- Comfortable conducting presentations
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Applicants may be required to meet additional security requirements in order to gain access to technical data, classified areas or information that is subject to international regulations.
Assets (beneficial but not required):
- Previous experience as a Product Owner or Scrum Master on an Agile team Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.
- Previous experience leading teams in an agile environment.
- Previous experience, certification, or knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe 4.0)
