Job Description
•Responsible for the planning and scheduling of materials through the production schedules.
•May coordinate with purchasing, production, and engineering.
•Requires a high school diploma with at least 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
•Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
•Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
•Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
•May direct and lead the work of others.
•Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
•Required Skills
•Under minimal supervision, coordinates and expedites the flow of equipment to vendors.
•Establishes and communicates completion dates for deliverable.
• Administratively receive equipment from vendors and coordinate with leads to process back into our system.
• Coordinates the interface between logistics functions such as transportation, maintenance and warehousing to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective support to the customer.
• Coordinates with customers to ensure desired logistics objectives, priorities, and schedules are met and communicated to management.
• Coordinates with Environmental, Safety, and other Shared Services functional areas as appropriate in regard to logistical functions performed under contract.
•Coordinates and conducts pick-up and delivery of measuring equipment with customers, employees, and management.
•Follows established standard work instructions ensuring quality throughout the processes.
•Packages equipment for shipping, ensuring all required paperwork is attached appropriately and billing the appropriate accounts.
•Contacts vendors by mail, email, or phone to coordinate RMA/RFQ's, expected completion, tracking of shipments. Update system to reflect most current status.
• Experience with Microsoft office.
•Performs all other duties as assigned.
