Description:

•The Facility Operations Lead is part of BOSK’s newly constructed electric vehicle battery manufacturing plant. 

•This is a performance-based, 12-year, O&M contract providing hard services of MEP equipment within the facility, excluding the manufacturing and production equipment. 

•The objective is to maintain a seamless environment by assuring that equipment is performing to specifications to facilitate uninterrupted manufacturing. 

•The ideal candidate will have strong maintenance/hands-on technical experience and a leadership background.

•The role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance activities of the chiller facility. 

•This includes managing a team of technicians, coordinating and prioritizing work orders, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining a high level of customer service. Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning, and general servicing of chiller systems (including detailed troubleshooting of systems). 

•Performs a variety of repairs and services in a specialized building system environment with a high emphasis on HVAC, Mechanical Systems, and building maintenance. 

•Working knowledge of Electrical / Electronic BAS, and other similar types of related equipment and low voltage systems is a PLUS.

Qualifications

Required:

 

• Requires two-year technical degree or two years’ experience as an Operations & Maintenance Specialist, or completion of an apprenticeship program.

• Proven experience in facilities operations, maintenance, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

• Requires in-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to deal with service and repairs.

• Knowledge of the following trades/skills: electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance

• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Working on mission critical projects

• Knowledge of OSHA codes and regulations

• Working knowledge of Metasys (BMS) and low voltage control systems.

• Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.

• Must be able to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and special maintenance events as needed.

• Required to use a variety of hand and power tools or man lift.

• Requires Universal EPA Refrigeration Certification.

• May be required to possess a valid driver’s license.

• Must be able to pass a thorough background check and subject interview.
