GCS Malta is seeking a Full Stack Developer to work with one of Malta’s leading transportation companies. The chosen individual will be responsible for developing front end and website architecture, creating and enhancing software systems, as well as writing up reports.

Responsibilities:

• Developing front end website architecture
• Testing and developing software
• Creating and enhancing software systems
• Ensuring responsiveness of applications
• Carrying out research on technologies
• Writing up documentation and reports
• Liaising with various departments

If you are in possession of a Degree in Software Development and/or an equivalent qualification, with previous working experience of at least 3 years within the industry, then this one’s for you!

Proficiency in Linux, as well as experience in frontend web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Angular 6+, Redux patterns and experience with databases (ideally PostgreSQL) is considered an asset. Sound knowledge in Java and Java enterprise technologies such as Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring Security, JMS, Hibernate, ORM, Tomcat, as well as exposure to Agile Methodologies, REST and managing services is considered an asset.

One must be proactive, possessing strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills. The individual must also be capable of working within tight deadlines and within a team-oriented environment.

Fluency in the English language is considered a must. Knowledge in any additional languages is considered a plus.
