Utilize standardized work instructions to support day-to-day quality control activities consisting of inspection of manufactured goods and supplier products, supporting quality problem investigations through root cause analysis, evaluating and processing Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) and Non-Conforming Materials (NCMs), assisting in the development of standardized work and material routings, and training production team members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect incoming, in-process, and final product quality to confirm adherence to or identify discrepancies with known standards
• Assist with inspection and evaluation of RMAs
• Complete and process non-conforming material paperwork and keep log history up to date
• Assist in development of standardized work documents incorporating  lean manufacturing principles
• Utilize standardized work documents and experience to train production team members
• Assist in gathering quality data for developing process improvements and root cause investigations of quality problems
• Assist in documenting quality problems and countermeasures with Quality Reports
• Work as part of Operations team to further company goals concerning safety, quality, and productivity
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team atmosphere with all levels of personnel
• Ability to work with shop tools and equipment
• Understanding of and experience applying lean manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys and 5S principles
• Ability to work proactively to organize processes, with strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
