Senior Project Manager - IT Applications

Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager experienced in managing complex IT Application projects.

Following a partnership agreement with our end client there is a need for a Senior Project Manager - IT Applications to manage SAP and associated systems projects.

We are seeking applications from Senior Project Managers with 6+ years of SAP PM experience to lead and manage complex projects, with a focus on SAP and associated systems, within the pharmaceutical industry.

In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple project initiatives in an often ambiguous environment.  Your primary focus will be on ensuring that the project is aligned with broader business objectives, driving impactful outputs, and delivering value across the organisation.

This role demands a deep technical understanding of IT Applications project management, strong leadership, and the ability to navigate and manage multifaceted, cross-functional initiatives. Previous experience in the Life Sciences industry and fluency in English are highly mandatory.

What Will You Be Doing:

• Lead and manage IT Applications projects, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals, objectives and adherence to overall project and program management methodologies.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of the project, ensuring it is completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop and manage project-level plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management, while ensuring seamless integration across projects.
• Provide visionary leadership to cross-functional teams, cultivating a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
• Facilitate regular project reviews, with key stakeholders with transparent and actionable insights, status updates, and risk assessments.
• Proactively identify, evaluate, and manage project-level risks and issues, developing robust mitigation strategies to address technical, regulatory, and operational challenges.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including charters, roadmaps, status reports, RAID logs, and post-project evaluations, ensuring adherence to organisational standards and GxP regulations compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the project, leveraging lessons learned to enhance future project performance and outcomes.

What We Are Looking For:

• 6+ years SAP PM experience
• Experienced with I.T Applications projects within Life Sciences
• Experienced with GMP, Project Management and Validation Deliverables
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects that involve cross-functional teams and significant technical dependencies
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects within the pharmaceutical industry
• Deep understanding of I.T Application components with the ability to make informed strategic decisions about technology interventions
• Proficiency in a broad range of project management tools
• Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead, mentor, and motivate cross-functional teams
• Experience in a life sciences environment is preferred
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail
• Ability to manage competing priorities, work effectively under pressure, and adapt to evolving project requirements
• Fluency in English
• Certification in Project Management, preferably PMP or PRINCE2
• Certifications in SAP are desirable or relevant experience
• Educational background in business, IT, or related fields
