We are Frima, a video game development studio based in Quebec City and Montreal for over 20 years, bringing together hundreds of passionate talents united by a single ambition: to create unforgettable games across all platforms.

Job Description

What your weeks are going to look like

  • Daily Scrum-style meetings with the project’s development team;
  • Actively participate in testing sessions;
  • Document discovered bugs and the steps to reproduce them in the bug-tracking tool;
  • Track issues to confirm bugs and work with the development team to prioritize fixes;
  • Document and publish test procedures and results;
  • Provide constructive feedback on the quality and “fun factor” of assigned content;
  • Ensure that games meet or exceed the company’s and the client’s quality standards.

Qualifications

What we're looking for

  • High school diploma or combination of relevant studies (computer science, multimedia, web, video game, etc.);
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in quality assurance in the video game industry (an asset);
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of the different types and platforms of games as well as the steps involved in creating a game;
  • Good general computer knowledge;
  • Technical knowledge of consoles and manufacturers' requirements (an asset);
  • Knowledge of Jira (an asset);
  • Basic knowledge of programming (an asset);
  • Good ability to communicate both orally and in writing, in French and English.
