At Friendly Pixel we’re aspiring to build the best casual gaming experiences to play with your friends. Some of our most memorable gaming experiences growing up were board games and couch co-op video games, and now we want to take those experiences to the next level. We’re a very small team, but we have very big ambitions. We’ve worked on some of the biggest titles in gaming, such as League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics, and now we’re aiming to change the way people play their favorite social games together. 

We’re a team aligned on our mission of changing social games, and we believe that games are a powerful tool for bringing people and communities closer together. We’re all self-driven toward that goal, which allows us to stay small and scrappy. We don’t have managers in the traditional sense, so we’re looking for someone who sees this opportunity more as a partnership and less as a transactional relationship.

For this role, we’re looking for a community manager to partner with us helping foster a community around our first product, Tobu. As one of the initial members of the team, we’re looking for someone who will help foster community for our first games, but who will also be a thought partner in bringing our product to market.

Specifically, this person will: 

• Foster the early community around our first product Tobu

• Manage social accounts, including Discord and Twitter

• Direct, organize, and recruit for playtests

• Assist with recruiting and hiring other game devs to help fulfill our mission 

• Challenge themselves to learn and do things that they have never done before

Ideally, this person has: 

• 2+ years of experience doing community management in games or similar experience

• An entrepreneurial mindset and are self-directed

• A deep love and passions for games

• Extraordinary organizational and planning skills

• Experience working in game development is a plus
