Job Description

Please note: this role will be based in San Mateo, CA and requires an in office presence three days a week.

We are looking for a Director of Investor Relations to position Freshworks to the investor community and build out our investor relations program. Reporting to the VP of Finance you will play a key role in collecting and analyzing information that will inform our narrative while managing investor and analyst relationships, building investor targeting strategies, and managing investor events.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Enhance a proactive investor relations strategy and program, ensuring that the Freshworks’ business strategy, products, and progress are understood by the investor community
  • Lead workflows across functional teams including finance, legal, product and marketing to gather information in preparation for quarterly earnings and executive presentations
  • Prepare key messages and presentations to communicate Freshworks’ progress and performance to key internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead investor targeting efforts
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior executives to develop financial press releases, Q&A documents, and other relevant materials
  • Provide strategic counsel to the executives, senior leadership team, finance department, communications team, and others on all IR activities
  • Analyze competitive behavior, market trends, shareholder concerns and other factors to inform investor communications and corporate strategy
  • Manage and update the investor relations website

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in investor relations, corporate finance, equity research or investment banking
  • Knowledgeable in investor relations including valuation methodologies, financial accounting, corporate finance principles, etc.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills. Ability to explain complex topics clearly and concisely
  • Ability to speak and nurture relationships with the investment community.  Build credibility with analysts and investors on behalf of Freshworks and the management team
  • Help develop and implement an ESG disclosure strategy for the company 
  • Strong familiarity with SEC requirements around financial reporting and communications
  • Willingness to identify and incorporate innovation in the practice of investor relations
  • Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and strong follow-up skills
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, or related professional experience

Additional Information

California Pay Range: $225,768 - $366,873 comprising an annual salary & incentive compensation: You may also be eligible for equity and additional generous company benefits.
