Job Description

Freshworks is seeking a skilled and experienced IT Senior Manager to lead our Core Finance team with a specific focus on Record-to-Report (RTR) and Procure-to-Pay (PTP) processes. In this role, you will be instrumental in leveraging technology solutions to optimize financial operations, ensure data integrity, and drive efficiency across RTR and PTP functions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Technology Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership in leveraging IT solutions to enhance RTR and PTP processes. Collaborate with finance and IT teams to align technology initiatives with business objectives.

  2. Systems Optimization: Evaluate, implement, and optimize finance systems, including ERP platforms and other relevant software, to support RTR and PTP activities. Identify opportunities for automation, integration, and process improvements.

  3. Data Integrity and Governance: Establish and maintain robust data governance frameworks to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of financial data. Implement controls and protocols to mitigate risks and comply with regulatory requirements.

  4. Process Efficiency: Streamline RTR and PTP workflows through the implementation of technology-enabled solutions. Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization, and lead initiatives to drive continuous improvement.

  5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with finance, IT, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements, address technical challenges, and deliver effective solutions. Build strong relationships and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.

  6. Change Management: Lead change management efforts related to the implementation of new technology solutions and process changes. Provide guidance, training, and support to finance and operational teams to ensure successful adoption.

  7. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, ensuring the effective delivery of solutions and services. Monitor vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and drive value optimization initiatives.

  8. Compliance and Audit Support: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to RTR and PTP processes. Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely information and facilitating audit activities.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or related field. MBA preferred.

  2. Proven experience (15 years) in IT leadership roles with a focus on finance systems and processes, preferably in a technology or SaaS company.

  3. Strong understanding of finance principles and processes, particularly RTR and PTP.

  4. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite), financial reporting tools, and related technologies.

  5. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.

  6. Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.

  7. Project management experience, with the ability to lead complex technology projects from initiation to completion.

  8. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
