Job Description

The Email Marketing COE at Freshworks is a central team based out of India, responsible for building email marketing programs and tracking the effectiveness of all the marketing campaigns driven by the Growth and Marketing function. 

Responsibilities

 

  • Build email marketing campaigns aligned with the respective marketing team’s objectives to engage and nurture leads throughout the customer journey and optimize and analyze campaign results in Freshmarketer - our marketing automation platform.
  • Responsible for email campaign performance across delivery and engagement on par with global email benchmarks
  • Identify and segment the target audience and grow our email list. Implement and periodically review suppression lists.
  • Set up campaign tracking on Allocadia, a marketing performance management platform, to measure Return On Marketing Investment (ROMI) and optimize future campaigns based on the results.
  • Collaborate with Integrated Marketing, Field Marketing, Customer Marketing, and Partner Marketing teams to create and optimize email campaigns and landing pages for various campaigns.
  • Work closely with the Web Ops team to create responsive landing pages and email templates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate personalization and automation into our email marketing strategy.
  • Plan/propose/Utilize AI tools and techniques to optimize email content, subject lines, send times, and segmentation for maximum impact.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all email marketing campaigns comply with relevant regulations, such as the CAN-SPAM Act, GDPR, and other regional laws. This includes reviewing and approving email content, ensuring proper consent management, and implementing opt-out mechanisms.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing subscriber lists, Maintaining DNMs, and implementing consent mechanisms to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in email marketing with a strong understanding of best practices and strategies. (domain reputation, warmup, esp policies)
  • Familiarity with AI tools and platforms used in email marketing (e.g., predictive analytics, dynamic content generation).
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to track campaign performance and optimize results.
  • Experience with conversational AI, content marketing platforms and tools (e.g., Conversica, PathFactroy etc.)
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in email marketing and AI technologies related to email interactions.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms, automation tools and their integration with 3rd party tools (e.g., Marketo. SFMC, Eloqua, Zoom, Outreach etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for email template customization is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of email marketing, governance, global compliances, A/B testing, analytics, and insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
