Job Description
About the role:
We’re looking for a result-oriented Social Impact Manager for the development and execution of Freshworks social impact efforts in line with Freeshworks’ values. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding the needs of communities, defining how Freshworks can move the needle on several of them, and strategically working across teams at Freshworks to make that impact a reality. This is a truly collaborative & cross-functional role and will report to the Director of Social Impact.

- A staunch advocate for the significance of philanthropy, policy, and partnerships in shaping a more equitable, sustainable world.
- Possesses a deep understanding of the evolving landscapes of social impact and ESG, supported by prior professional roles in social impact, public affairs, economics, and sustainability.
- A collaborative team leader known for innovative thinking, capable of conceptualizing and executing measurable social impact initiatives.
- A meticulous generalist adaptable to the changing needs of both the organization and the communities it serves.
- Proficient at playing at the intersection of the technology and non-profit sectors.
- A skilled communicator, adept researcher, and established strategist in driving social change.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement our social impact strategy, aligned with organizational goals, global frameworks and industry best practices.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to embed social impact considerations into business strategies, policies, and operations.
- Stay up-to-date with social impact trends, research, and innovative practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Forge and oversee partnerships with community organizations, NGOs, and governmental bodies to facilitate cooperative endeavors focused on social impact.
- Create and implement programs fostering diversity, inclusion, employee volunteering, philanthropy, and community involvement.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness and outcomes of social impact initiatives and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Offer guidance and training to employees regarding social impact practices and community engagement.
- Ensure adherence to pertinent regulations and ethical standards governing social impact activities.
Qualifications
Job Requirement:
- Minimum of 6 years relevant work experience in the Social Impact space.
- Proven project management experience.
- Knowledge of the norms governing Not for Profits, CSR regulations and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience with report writing, data collection and analysis and research is preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel for work
