Job Description
Please note: This role will be based in San Mateo, CA and requires an in-office presence.
We are seeking a conversion-focused visual designer to join the Web Conversion Rate Optimization team at Freshworks. As a Lead Visual Designer, you’ll create high-converting / user-centered designs that improve site visitor engagement and conversion rates across web pages.
This role reports into the Head of Growth Marketing with a dotted line to the Creative Director of Global Digital Experience. You will have a tremendous impact across the entire digital ecosystem of Freshworks by creating experiences that maximize engagement, tell the transformative stories of our products, grow the marketing pipeline, and amplify our brand. You will help translate business goals into delightful and successful design solutions while building trust and engagement with internal partners and stakeholders.
What you'll do at Freshworks:
- Design, create, and maintain web content to meet marketing requirements
- Create experiences with user-centered design principles in mind, articulate design rationale and share insight into design solutions
- Produce visual design mocks for usability testing and iterate based on findings
- Use a metrics and research-driven approach to analyze, create, and evangelize design and experience strategy to internal and external partners
- Apply user psychology to design for A/B experiments with the goal of optimizing web journeys
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to visualize and test layouts, user flows, and functionality
- Collaborate with Brand marketing to ensure brand-consistent visual design
- Ensure visual designs meet web accessibility standards
- Challenge the status quo, champion bold ideas, and demonstrate ongoing innovation
- Collaborate effectively with Strategy, Business Owners, User Research, Localization & Translation, Development, Analytics, and Brand teams located in India, US, and around the globe
Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven experience in digital design with a focus on CRO
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and usability
- Understanding the role of choice architecture and design in converting visitors into leads
- Proficiency in design software such as Figma
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices
- Understanding of A/B testing, user research and analytics
- Experience working effectively with cross-disciplinary teams such as writers, strategists, UX designers, motion designers, program/project managers, and developers
- Self-driven and ambitious
- Passionate about digital design and user experience
- Critical thinking and Incredible eye for detail with meticulous standards
- Consistent track record of producing delightful design concepts that meet UX best practices
- Willingness to help drive high-quality visual experiences across Freshworks’ digital properties
- Open to constructive feedback with a growth mindset
- Proven ability to thrive in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment and be highly organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Intellectually curious. Ability to think big—constantly pushing boundaries and elevating the expectations of what’s possible
- A blend of both B2B and B2C marketing experience is highly preferred

California Pay Range: $123,200 - $200,200+ comprising an annual salary & incentive compensation. You may also be eligible for equity and additional generous company benefits.
