Our Value Engineering team is expanding and actively seeking a Value Engineer to join our team. As a Value Engineer, you will collaborate with our sales account teams to create and develop business cases derived from a value-based methodology. Reporting to our Global Head of Shared Services, you will assist in standardizing our value-based solution proposition and integrate this into our selling strategy. 

As a Senior Value Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include 

  • Conduct value discovery sessions with Freshworks prospects & customers. Capture customer objectives and ensure outcomes are documented to demonstrate quantifiable business value.
  • Effectively articulate the gap of where the client's current state is vs their desired state.
  • Create analytical models and custom executive presentations for key accounts
  • Provide thought leadership and expertise on business value and why the investment in FW solutions will benefit the prospective client
  • Collaborate with sales enablement to establish and provide enablement training on how GTM can leverage VE content and collateral
  • Collect and measure key Freshworks and industry metrics to establish trends and benchmarking
  • Work closely with other value engineers, account executives, and solution engineers to contribute to overall value assessment and findings. 
  • External research and thought leadership 
  • Assist in the production and delivery of executive-level presentations in the field.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of hands-on professional experience in Value Engineering, Pre-sales Value Consulting, Solution Engineering and/or management consulting. 
  • Deep financial analysis and modeling of ROI and TCO concepts to justify business cases. Ability to demonstrate practical use of ROI metrics.
  • Highly developed critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Excellent soft skills and presentation skills are a must for this role. You will rely on these skills every single day!
  • A mix of business and technical acumen with the ability to engage and add value in discussions involving both technology and business strategy
  • Ability to influence executives and C-Suite with credibility, passion and charisma.
  • High energy, self-starter who can deal with ambiguity and is comfortable owning and executing initiatives
  • Highly effective collaborator who can work across sales, onboarding, sales enablement, and marketing functions. 
  • Familiarity with technology and/or enterprise software preferred. Familiarity with CRM, ITSM and Customer Service solutions is a plus.

Additional Information

Compensation is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to location, experience, job-related skills, and level. Bonus/equity may be available.
