Job Description

As the Director, CX Sales, North America, you set the direction and policies for regional sales activities related to new business and revenue generation, supporting customers in finding CX products, solutions, and services that best meet their needs. You are responsible for building and leading a team of Account Executives driving CX sales growth across the region.  Reporting to the Sales GM for North America, you will ensure the CX GTM strategy is successfully implemented across the region, delivering regional CX financial target attainment. 

  • Build and lead a team of high performing Account Executives known for closing large CX deals and consistently exceeding quotas. 
  • Evangelize industry trends, both internally and externally, and translate into actionable ways CX account leaders can implement Freshworks’ products or new features to drive value.
  • Execute complex sales cycles with CXOs, leveraging executive presence to access, accurately identify and understand the key buying influencers pertaining to an opportunity. 
  • Cultivate executive relationships with partners, optimize partner performance through business reviews, identify additional business opportunities to expand revenue, deploy a sales approach that accelerates CX revenue growth. 
  • Identify new opportunities, winning large pursuits in the CX industry, creating end to end sales lifecycle for CX deals, direct and through the field. 
  • Report weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadence to all key stakeholders to facilitate understanding of customer and market conditions that delivers consistent achievement of quarterly and annual targets.
  • Ensure internal processes are followed, including team’s adherence to tracking customer and transactional information in CRM system and other sales and operational processes. Define new processes to increase overall productivity and forecast accuracy.
  • Travel to company, customer and partner events in support of sales efforts.

Qualifications

You have run specialist sales teams for at least 5 years and sold customer service solutions at leading SaaS technology companies. You have successfully evangelized CX products with a proven track record of building teams known for closing large CX deals and are consistently exceeding quotas. You are customer obsessed and have a passion for simplifying every experience to put customers back in control by offering the support they expect, in their channel of choice.

  • 15+ years of proven software sales experience with 5-10 years selling customer support software products to Customer Service/Contact Center leaders, decision makers. 
  • 10+ years managing quota carrying software or technology sales account management professionals.
  • Extensive understanding of emerging customer service (CX) industry trends, including channels and conversational user interfaces, and the key players in the competitive landscape. 
  • 4-year university degree required (Bachelor’s).
  • Preferred: Experience leading a team of specialized account executives as a specialist sales organization interfacing with geographic hunting teams focused on a multi-product portfolio.

Additional Information

The annual OTE range for this position is $330,000—$350,000 USD.

Compensation is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to location, experience, job-related skills, and level. Bonus/equity may be available.
