Job Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Manage a team of about 15 collectors with potential to increase
  • Ensure timely collection of invoices, strive to improve DSO
  • Enlist the efforts of sales and senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection process.
  • Resolve complex problems & escalations and drive to resolution with business partners
  • Reconcile customer disputes as they pertain to payment of outstanding balances that are due, respond to inquiries from internal and external customers
  • Adhere to credit & collections policies, SOX and internal controls.
  • Drive internal metrics, strategies, and goals through the AR Team
  • Conduct weekly 1:1s to review status of accounts and proactively initiate collections activities with collectors.
  • Point of contact and support for the collections team and sales
  • Develop strategies & projects to reduce collection issues and escalations
  • Document and communicate processes
  • Conduct weekly meetings with manager to provide updates on problems and solutions with top accounts.
  • Drive change and ensure scaling of processes through automation, work assessment and process improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of AR/Collections Management experience in high volume environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficient negotiation skills
  • Ability to perform credit analysis and understanding of financial statements
  • Very strong Microsoft Excel skills (lookup functions, pivot tables, etc.) and experience working with large amounts of data
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail a must
  • Strong Leadership & Team building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work cross functionally with all levels of a company, particularly executive sales management
  • Must be a self-starter and team player who is excited to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability of time management skills with strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to excellent customer service

Preferences 

  • Experience within the software industry
  • Degree in Business or equivalent work experience

Additional Information

The annual OTE range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000+. Compensation is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to location, experience, job-related skills and level.
