Job Description

We are looking for a Lead - Social marketing professional to grow,  engage with and delight the Freshworks global online following and help us show the world just how ridiculously easy business software can be. In this role, you will be responsible for developing effective strategies for social media campaigns and bringing our brand voice to life across channels through content that sparks interest and drives conversation. Reporting to the Director of Social Media, you will partner closely with the design team and stakeholders across Marketing and Internal Communications to develop messages and stories that matter to our communities. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Social media strategy: consult with cross-functional stakeholders to develop effective strategies for social media campaigns and content, consistently applying industry best practices and ensuring content is on-brand and supports overarching business goals.

  • Social content creation: Able to write compelling copy for social media content across all major platforms, taking into account the unique aspects of each social channel and representing the brand and its products in a professional manner at all times.

  • Community management: Proactively and reactively engaging with members of our community with an eye towards ensuring every interaction is positive and professional. Consults with cross-functional stakeholders and broader social media team on opportunities to insert the brand into topical events or conversations.

  • Project management: Works effectively with internal creative teams, product stakeholders, and broader marketing team to ensure social content is executed as planned and on schedule, keeping track of shifting internal priorities and deadlines. Collaborates with broader social media team to divide workload and mentor a junior team member.

 

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in social media marketing roles, either in-house or with an agency, with progressive levels of project ownership. 

  • 3-5 years of specific social media copywriting experience required; some B2B experience is preferred.

  • A genuine interest and appreciation for social media as a marketing tool; someone who keeps abreast of industry trends and platform changes, and can confidently communicate best practices to internal stakeholders. 

  • Self-starter who can manage their daily workflow with minimal oversight; comfortable interacting with global team members.

  • Native-level English proficiency
