Job Description

Overview:

As a Product Consultant (Presales) at Freshworks, you will assist the sales/business development team by problem-solving key technical issues for our customers. You will be working hand in hand with the sales team to introduce Freshworks product suite. You will help prospective customers and partners to understand why Freshworks is important to their business. Your job will involve working closely with cross-functional product teams. We are looking to hire Product Consultants with excellent technical, communication, and organizational skills. Any previous experience with customer support, CRM, ITSM/ITIL Methodologies, and cloud-based infrastructure will be preferred.

 

Responsibilities (What you'll be expected to do):

  • Work with Sales / Business Development teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, identify key customer technical objections, and convert prospects to customers.
  • Work closely with the product management team to demonstrate and prototype integrations within the customer environment.
  • Prepare and deliver product messaging to highlight Freshworks' value proposition through whiteboard and slide presentations, product demonstration, proof of concept management, and RFP response documents.
  • Work independently with prospects/customers technical teams on technical scoping. During the process of scoping, you may be involved in complex workflow analysis and in-depth examination of the interaction between Freshworks and the customer’s infrastructure.
  • Provide technical mentorship and training for new hires and peers.
  • Implement and support compliance with Freshworks compliance and information security processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 - 4 years of experience as a technical sales engineer or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Interest, curiosity, and openness to learning new technologies.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders as well as end customers.
  • Flexibility in working in different shifts/regions. This is absolutely mandatory because you will be expected to work in a specific shift for a minimum of two years.

 

Additional Information

- Prior work experience in SaaS product companies in domains relevant to Freshworks' suite of products.

- A proven track record of consistency in overachieving targets.
