Job Description
Job Title: Purchasing Associate
Job Summary:
The Purchasing Associate is responsible for supporting the procurement process by sourcing, ordering, and monitoring materials, supplies, and services needed by the company. This role ensures timely purchasing, accurate documentation, and coordination with suppliers while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance with company policies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase requests and purchase orders
Source and communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery schedules
Monitor order status to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
Verify delivered items against purchase orders and invoices for accuracy
Coordinate with warehouse and accounting departments regarding deliveries and payments
Maintain and update purchasing records, supplier information, and inventory reports
Assist in negotiating terms, pricing, and contracts with vendors when required
Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures
Handle supplier inquiries, concerns, and discrepancies professionally
Support cost-control initiatives and recommend alternative suppliers when necessary
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
At least 1 year of experience in purchasing or procurement (preferred)
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Good communication and negotiation abilities
Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word)
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
