Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, safety, and upkeep of all facilities, store branches, and equipment under the Fredley Group of Companies. This includes performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, and providing technical support across multiple brands to maintain smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs of store and office equipment such as HVAC units, lighting, exhaust systems, refrigeration units, kitchen equipment, and plumbing fixtures. 
- Ensure all facilities, utilities, and equipment are in good working condition to support daily operations. 
- Perform minor carpentry, painting, and other building repairs when necessary. 
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and service calls from stores, warehouses, or office departments. 
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, or plumbing issues to minimize operational downtime. 
- Coordinate with external contractors or suppliers for major repairs or specialized technical work. 
- Implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and avoid unexpected breakdowns. 
- Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies necessary for repair and maintenance tasks. 
- Keep detailed records of completed maintenance work, materials used, and schedules followed. 
- Adhere to company safety policies and ensure that all work complies with local building and safety regulations. 
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. 
- Support sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives within company facilities. 
- Prepare and submit maintenance reports, service logs, and accomplishment updates to the Maintenance Supervisor or Facilities Manager. 
- Assist in facility inspections, store openings, renovations, and improvement projects. 
- Coordinate with Operations, HR, and Admin departments for maintenance-related concerns or requests. 
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a vocational or technical course in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Building Maintenance. 
- At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in maintenance work, preferably in food and beverage or retail industries. 
- Knowledgeable in electrical systems, plumbing, air-conditioning, refrigeration, and basic carpentry. 
- Able to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints. 
- Willing to travel to different store branches and work on flexible schedules as needed.
