Job Description
The Role:
Responsible for Digital Trading across the Luxury Business, reporting to the Head of Digital Trading. This role owns the digital trading strategy and commercial performance framework, using data, insight, and market trends to identify opportunities and drive sustainable sales growth and an enhanced on-site customer experience.
The role is accountable for defining strategic priorities and ensuring their successful execution through collaboration with trading, marketing, CRM, content, and technology teams. A significant element of the position involves leading cross-functional campaign planning to ensure Group wide promotions and major brand initiatives are delivered effectively, with strong stakeholder management required to secure alignment, influence decision-making, and drive execution against agreed objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the success and delivery of digital sales within the Luxury business; including forecasting profit and revenue targets and underlying revenue metrics (e.g., Average Order Value)
- Work with Head of Digital Trading to define, develop and deliver a Digital trading strategy for the Luxury business in line with the key brand and business commercial objectives
- Manage regular performance reviews, including monthly and quarterly meetings working collaboratively across all key departments to capture customer and market insight and feedback, ensuring that the week-to-week performance movements are incorporated into the forecast and remedial actions taken where appropriate.
- Perform regular data analysis to inform and support reactive actions, and ensure all team members are upskilled to have a high level of data literacy
- Devise and drive a performance and data analysis plan to inform and support growth using analytical tools.
- Present ideas and analysis to wider teams to align business processes and projects
- Lead and own, alongside key stakeholders, the Luxury Digital Trading Calendar, defining the commercial and customer journey strategy for campaigns, promotions, and trading initiatives. Ensure all activity is fully scoped, commercially aligned, and supported by clear, actionable briefs and success measures before handover to activation teams for execution, with optimisation of the customer experience at the forefront of all planning and decision-making.
- Lead cross-functional campaign planning across Luxury, Premium, and Sport websites, ensuring trading priorities, customer journey objectives, and commercial goals are aligned across all channels.
- Work closely with Digital Marketing and key stakeholders to ensure product and trading strategies are supported through SEO, PPC, Paid Social, Affiliates and CRM.
- Present ideas and analysis to wider teams to align business processes and projects
- As relevant, represent Digital Trade in key cross-functional projects/initiatives that help deliver trading targets (e.g., app launches, development of new services)
- Accountable for optimisation of site navigation, customer journey and product placement strategies to drive online improvements to conversion rates and online KPI’s
- Work with the Product, Experimentation and UX teams to contribute to and influence the prioritisation of the development roadmap
People Management
- Demonstrate strong leadership and extensive people management skills
- Set clear objectives, goals and development plans
- Build an effective and motivated team, to work as more than a collection of individuals
- Be an active and positive contributor to the team, contributing to the overall digital strategy
- Represent the Digital Trading Team across the wider business, ensuring digital KPI’s are understood and achievable for all
Qualifications
- Valid working rights for the UK
- Analytical with strong reporting skills, advanced Google Analytics, Contentsquare, and Excel user
- Experience working within e-commerce platforms
- Experience driving both day-to-day improvements and larger strategic projects that contribute to sales growth
- Experience in team management and development
- Independent, self-motivated, and proactive
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar digital role in a retail or consumer brand
