Job Description

We are currently looking for a Management Accountant to join our growing Finance team- working across all our UK fascia’s, supporting various stakeholders across the business. You will be responsible for managing one of the main cost drivers in the business, which is becoming an ever increasing focus with senior management. This area has grown rapidly over recent years, and given the acquisitive nature of the business will continue this trend into the future.

You will manage three direct reports, who are responsible for the day-to-day accounts processing including accruals and prepayments. There is a requirement for you to oversee these outputs as part of your management accounts process and deliver any training required to this team.

You will support with projects that only an over £4bn turnover international retailer could do, so expect to move quickly between demands, get involved in acquisitions, make commercial recommendations and present to some senior stakeholders.

  • Producing and reviewing Monthly Management Accounts cost lines, budgets and forecasts
  • Reviewing and investigating variances between the actual results and budgeted/forecasted results
  • Reconciliation of all relevant entities balance sheet
  • Owning and presenting monthly finance reports to line manager, and senior finance as required
  • Building relationships and acting as a Business Partner for financial/numerical queries
  • Supporting group & statutory audits for relevant entities
  • Assisting with the integration of new subsidiaries

Qualifications

  • Part qualified ACCA/CIMA (study support provided).
  • Minimum 2 year’s experience working in a similar role within finance.
  • Excellent IT system skills, in particular MS Excel
  • Looking to develop and grow a career in a commercial business
