Job Description

Occupational Therapist – School Based

Location: Tarrytown, NY
Schedule: Full-Time | In-Person
Start Date: Immediate (Leave Replacement)

FOX Staffing Network is partnering with a school program in the Tarrytown, NY area seeking an Occupational Therapist to support elementary-age students on the spectrum.

This position focuses on helping students develop the motor, sensory, and functional skills necessary to succeed in the classroom and daily school activities while working closely with a collaborative team of educators and therapists.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy services to elementary students on the autism spectrum

  • Evaluate students and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals

  • Support development of fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care skills, and classroom participation

  • Implement sensory strategies and adaptive techniques to support student learning and engagement

  • Collaborate with teachers, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other related service providers

  • Maintain documentation and progress reports in accordance with IEP and school requirements

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student progress

Qualifications

Requirements

  • New York State Occupational Therapist License required

  • Experience working with pediatric or school-based populations preferred

  • Experience supporting students with autism spectrum or developmental needs is a plus

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
