Job Description

Physical Therapist – School Based

Location: Tarrytown, NY
Schedule: Full-Time | In-Person
Start Date: April (Leave Replacement)
Additional Opportunity: Summer School (Location TBD)

FOX Staffing Network is partnering with a school program in the Tarrytown, NY area seeking a Physical Therapist to support elementary-age students on the spectrum.

This role provides an opportunity to work in a collaborative school environment helping students develop the mobility, coordination, and functional skills needed to succeed in the classroom and daily activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy services to elementary students on the autism spectrum

  • Evaluate students and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals

  • Support students in improving motor development, mobility, balance, and functional movement

  • Collaborate with teachers, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other support staff

  • Adapt therapy techniques to meet the needs of students with developmental and sensory challenges

  • Maintain documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and IEP requirements

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student development

Qualifications

 

  • New York State Physical Therapist License required

  • Experience working with pediatric or school-based populations preferred

  • Experience supporting students with autism spectrum or developmental needs is a plus

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
