Job Description

Pay Rate: $26.10 per hour

(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am)

  • To provide maintenance support to the Delhi Feed mill.
  • Direct responsibilities include overseeing the following. Personal work preparation and safety.
  • Most preventative maintenance and small repairs needed to keep the mill running.
  •  Assist in performing all phases of maintenance, including electrical mechanical systems (i.e. fabricating, welding, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and performing required preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain required records, reporting in writing any uncorrected mechanical/electrical defects and replacement parts to the supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned Including general cleaning and/or assisting other crews if required, and the following: Coordinating equipment downtime, services, and problems with area operators and detecting potential mechanical/electrical problems and planning for repairs.

Qualifications

  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
  •  Physically; must be able to: Climb ladders and stairs, work from ladders/scaffolds, work in pits, bend, kneel and walk frequently, lift 50 pounds, move heavy objects, work in high places, work in silos.
  • Mechanically, must be familiar with all phases of maintenance, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Have knowledge or be able to learn the mill flow patterns, dry as well as liquid.
  • Be familiar with or be able to learn the proper lubricating techniques for all mill equipment.
  • Be able to perform or learn the routine services and troubleshoot and repair most mill equipment.
  • Have some familiarity with welding and/or fabricating.
  • Be able to maintain good attendance.
  • Ability and desire to teach others in the department. 
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
