Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION:  to learn all aspects of fryer production operations to become able to supervise employees and all fryer ranch functions. 

“Hands-on” training in all aspects of fryer production. Including:                                                    
Controlling and maintaining bird health with aid of all available
 resources. 
Monitoring all ranch growout functions. 
Insuring accurate coordination and/or completion of labor needs

Becoming knowledgeable about personnel related activities (i.e., employee relations, labor laws, accident investigations, etc.)

Learn to conduct employee orientations and/ or training.                                 
 

Qualifications

Strong Animal Science background (a Bachelor of Science Degree in Poultry/Animal Science, Ag-Business or related field preferred).  

Must have strong oral and written communication skills. 

Must have strong leadership/supervisor skills with the ability to act independently and be able to evaluate fairly and objectively.

Must be able to work flexible work schedules as needed to include weekends, holidays, late and early morning hours.

Must have good computer skills and the ability to create and analyze data.

Ability to interface with all support groups, departments and upper management.

Must be able to work independently/ unsupervised and have strong time management skills.

Must have a valid Class C Driver’s License and maintain a good DMV driving record.

Must be able to follow and enforce all company policies and guidelines including bio-security and animal welfare policies and guidelines. 

Must be detailed oriented and have a strong mechanical, mathematical and analytical aptitude.

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
