Job Description
Purpose of Position:
Audit and process weekly/bi-weekly payrolls (paper timecards & Kronos time records), distribute timecards & paychecks, & other payroll related tasks such as: Weekly audit reports, SDI payment coordination, manual check calculation, deduction input, misc vendor payment. Running labor reports for accounting department and answering/investigating questions. Reconcile temp labor invoices to reports. Creating purchase order requisitions in SAP upon request. Receiving invoices in SAP and sending to AP for payment. Validating, reconciling and compiling various production reports. Back up other accounting desks as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
Payroll, process payroll, timecards & Kronos, audit timecards, calculate weekly batches, input, balance, release batches. Error processing, run audit reports and make any necessary adds, change, or deletes prior to check printing. Labor, timecard and paycheck distribution and running and emailing reports, printing and distributing timecards, timecards label, and labor reports.
Misc. payroll related processes; deduction input, manual checks, vendor payments, etc.
Validate/reconcile temp labor invoices to reports
Production, verify render tags, input, and send reports. Edible/Inedible reconciliation and entry, MDP and Poss production- verify and enter data, prepare or review account analysis worksheets and take corrective action to resolve any issues resulting from their preparation, other reports as assigned
PO requisitions and receiving, to include, create PO requisitions upon request. Receive invoices in SAP and send down for payment. Managing parked documents list.
Additional Functions to include, various reports/requests as assigned and back-up other accounting staff when necessary.
Qualifications
Requirements:
High School Graduate or equivalent
Prior payroll knowledge strongly preferred (knowledge of taxable wage limits, etc.)
Strong Computer Skills –Excel, Outlook, Word, Lawson/Kronos helpful, SAP
10 key by touch preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills and detailed oriented
Ability to work well independently and with a team
Must be self-motivated, assertive, objective, and resourceful.
