Job Description

Manage and provide support for production facility.  Develop management personnel through programs to ensure that the departments have a trained and proficient workforce that meets department and company goals on productivity, customer service, yield, cost, quality and safety. Responsible for meeting department and company goals and standards on quality, productivity, cost and safety

  • Responsible for the development and training of supervisors, working within the guidelines and company policies
  • Responsible for quick and timely feedback to manager on all exceptions with regard to productivity, downtime, quality, safety, cost and customer service
  • Responsible for monitoring standards and indexes needed to control area of responsibility
  • Ensure that safety orientations and safety meetings are held as required,  maintain a safe environment
  • Participate in department meetings in the planning, testing and development of techniques processes
  • Help maintain and improve quality and food safety, to insure compliance with company quality standards and USDA regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must have a B.S./B.A. in Business Management (or a related field) and/or equivalent work experience
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the poultry processing industry with increasingly responsible management positions.  Food Service Operations preferred
  • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be able to evaluate supervision fairly and objectively
  • Must exhibit strong leadership skills/internal drive to succeed
  • Must be able to prioritize/adjust quickly to a changing work environment with minimal supervision to meet changing production needs
  • Must have advanced problem solving skills and independent decision making
  • Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check
