Job Description

  •  At the direction of the department supervisor assists in training employees to work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Adheres to GMPs and pre-set safety standards.
  • Monitors predetermined quality and safety standards within assigned work areas. report findings to supervisor for follow-up.
  • Follows break and lunch schedules as determined by department supervisor.
  • Follows rotation schedules as determined by department supervisor.
  • Strives to achieve pre-determined plant production goals and schedules.
  • Assists co-workers in performing department job tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Assists in the completion of reports (e.g., production, QC, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor (i.e., hand out supplies, safety inspections etc.)

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate production details to department supervision and the management team.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and be able to read, and write in English.
  • Must be able to perform math calculations to include percentages.
  • Must be able to follow detailed instructions and multi-task duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time (8-10 hours) on uneven surfaces, and work in wet, cold and/or hot environments.
  • Must be able to solve and correct minor problems and adjustments to production equipment.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and be able to lift 5-50lbs.
  • Must have a good safety, performance & attendance record.
  • Previous experience operating production machinery preferred
