Job Description

Purpose of Position: 

Reporting to the CFO, this position directs and leads the development and implementation/execution of Revenue Growth Strategy. Role is accountable for development and implementation/execution of overall pricing strategy and alignment with philosophy, including pricing performance. This position will be a sole contributor at first but will evaluate and build the department within the first year.

Essential Functions:

Proposes short-term pricing moves and long-term pricing strategy recommendations in order to maximize Net Sales and Gross Profit across Foster Farms.

Lead development of pricing strategy across Sales, Marketing and Finance.

Manage Revenue Management tactics including pack configuration, discount structure, trade rates, price exceptions, and tactical implementation as relevant to each business unit or customer need.

Leads effort to build up pricing excellence across the organization.

Qualifications

Graduate business degree or other discipline that requires quantitative knowledge

Ideal candidate has an extensive finance background with complimentary experience in consumer/customer analytics, marketing, or sales.

10+ years of experience with a majority focused on tactical and strategic Revenue Management leadership

Experience in a consumer goods environment is highly desired; experience in a consulting environment is additive

Experience in a large organization that has multiple business units and where influence and coordination is required

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Leadership skills – demonstrated significant initiative, tenacity and leadership in prior job

Analytical and strategic skills – must be able to synthesize marketing and pricing information to draw insights and actionable recommendations (e.g., structure the problem, collect data, identify issues, and present results)

Entrepreneurial skills and style

Thrives in and instills an empowered, non-bureaucratic environment. Has demonstrated drive and a high desire for autonomy but sees the value in collaborating across the organization

Ability to obtain a CA driver’s license and reliable transportation

Must be able to work in a high stress fast paced environment

Must be able to travel 10%-15%. Overnight travel will be required
