Job Description

• Direct and supervise shift maintenance for all refrigeration, electrical, boiler and waste water treatment facilities at Porterville. Specifically:
a) Prepare work schedules and mechanic duty assignments as required to support the total maintenance program and the requirements of PSM/RMP, Cal/ARP, Production and USDA personnel.
b) Perform frequent on-the-job inspections to ensure employee safe working habits, safe work areas, high quality workmanship and effectiveness of maintenance and repairs.
c) Evaluate, prioritize and schedule maintenance repair requests to ensure timely completion of all repair actions.
d) Accurately estimate materials and manpower costs for job orders and project requests.
e) Routinely inspect equipment for needed repairs and maintenance. Prepare maintenance repair requests.
f) Proved technical assistance to assigned personnel in the following areas: proper operation of equipment, proper use of maintenance manuals/schematics, efficient troubleshooting and proper maintenance/repair of equipment.

• Coordinate the site-specific training and implementation of emergency response teams within Foster Farms and with local Hazardous Materials Responders.

• Coordinates with project engineers in the technical design review of new projects and equipment to ensure
appropriate controls are in place as it pertains to PSM or RMP regulated chemicals.

• Leads Incident Investigations that involve PSM or RMP listed chemicals and processes, performs root cause analysis/PHA’s, and helps develop action plans that will prevent recurrences.

• Continue to develop, update, and maintain corporate PSM and RMP programs that comply with changing federal,
state, and local regulations.

Qualifications

· Engineering or BA Degree or equivalent experience

· Minimum five years experience in ammonia refrigeration including mechanical integrity functions and SOP development.

· RETA CIRO certification.

· Strong oral and written communications skills and the ability to work in both individual and team work settings with minimum supervision.

· 3-5 years maintenance supervisory experience, in a production environment

· Project management, project development skills and experience.
