Job Description

As the Senior Manager, Indirect Sourcing - IT, you will lead the category team and be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that support our digital transformation initiatives and drive innovation in technology solutions. In this people manager role, you will work closely with global business/functional leaders across all of Fortune Brands to develop & implement sourcing strategies that would effectively reduce the total cost of ownership of category spend, leveraging world-class negotiation skills, tools, and processes. 
 
Position location: This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based out of Deerfield, IL. Effective mid-2025, Fortune Brands will transition to a new world-class campus in Deerfield, bringing together associates from across our U.S. offices, brands, and functions. The campus will offer vibrant workspaces for collaboration, along with amenities for dining, onsite daycare, fitness and recreation.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement IT sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives and digital transformation goals.
  • Collaborate with IT, Data & Analytics, Finance, Risk, Legal, and Supply Chain Transformation stakeholders to understand technology needs and provide strategic sourcing guidance.
  • Identify and develop a strategy to reduce shadow technology.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure value for the company.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in technology, including AI, cloud strategies, cybersecurity, and Industry 4.0.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the IT department, driving efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to improve procurement processes and drive strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Train and coach direct reports.
  • Build and manage the category project pipeline through expertise and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Implement best practices through cross-functional engagement.
  • Lead RFI/RFQ/RFP processes and negotiate supplier agreements.
  • Deliver savings and cost optimization on existing and recurring spend.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years of experience in Procurement, including 5+ years leading IT category strategies and driving cost savings in collaboration with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong expertise in technology sourcing and vendor management
  • Deep knowledge of cloud strategies, cybersecurity, and Industry 4.0 concepts
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across functions
  • Demonstrated success in reducing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) through strategic sourcing initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline
  • Strategic thinker with a proven ability to execute flawlessly
  • Experience consolidating spend and identifying savings opportunities across multiple business units
  • Background managing a broad range of IT categories, including hardware, software, telecom, IT services, embedded software, and “as-a-Service” (cloud, AI, etc.) solutions within a global manufacturing environment

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $145,000 USD - $185,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
