Job Description

Fortune Brands is hiring for a Manager, IT - Warehouse Management Systems. The Manager, WMS is responsible for driving strategic process improvements across enterprise systems and workflows and leads the design, optimization, and implementation of warehouse processes integrated with our Warehouse Management System (WMS). This role is pivotal in driving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing inventory accuracy across our supply chain.  This role blends deep technical expertise with business acumen to optimize operations, enhance system integration, and lead cross-functional transformation initiatives.

POSITION LOCATION: This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based out of Deerfield, IL (or one of our Distribution Centers in Las Vegas, NV or Kinston, NC). Effective fall 2025, Fortune Brands will transition to a new world-class campus in Deerfield, bringing together associates from across our U.S. offices, brands, and functions. The campus will offer vibrant workspaces for collaboration, along with amenities for dining, onsite daycare, fitness and recreation.

What you will be doing

  • Analyze current warehouse workflows and identify areas for improvement using data-driven methodologies
  • Lead distribution center transformation initiatives using market leading WMS solution (e.g., Blue Yonder, EWM, etc)
  • Design and implement optimized processes aligned with WMS capabilities (e.g., receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping)
  • Collaborate with IT and operations teams to configure and enhance WMS functionality
  • Lead cross-functional workshops to gather requirements and validate process changes
  • Support WMS upgrades, integrations, and automation initiatives (e.g., RFID, robotics, conveyor systems)
  • Create and present status reports and executive presentations to communicate progress to leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Industrial engineering, or related field
  • Experience on distribution center systems automation systems and also supporting applications (e.g., WES, WCS, RF, Conveyors, Label Applicators, In Line Scanners, etc)
  • Familiarity with WMS/ERP integration
  • Hands on Vendor management experience
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics process engineering
  • 10+ years hands-on experience with leading WMS platforms (e.g., Blue Yonder, Red Prairie)
  • Proven experience leading the end-to-end implementation of a Warehouse Management System 
  • Proficiency in process mapping tools and data analysis (Excel, SQL)
  • Good analytical, oral communication and written documentation skills
  • General leadership and management skills
  • Advanced communication, negotiation, change management, and conflict resolution capabilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Supply Chain domain knowledge
  • Certifications such as Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, APICS CPIM, or CSCP
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Familiarity with middleware integration products such as Boomi

Additional Information

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $105,000 USD - $165,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
