Job Description

The Board and Executive Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the Board of Directors and executive leadership through seamless coordination of meetings, travel, and high-touch logistics. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage complex schedules and events with precision and professionalism. The Board and Executive Coordinator also plans larger company meetings and will serve as liaison for any groups at our headquarters who are looking to plan on site meetings.

 

Position location: Deerfield, IL

 

RESPONSIBLIITIES:

Board Meeting Planning & Execution

  • Lead planning and logistics for five annual Board meetings, including three at Deerfield headquarters and two offsite.
  • Coordinate all aspects of meeting execution including venue, catering, technology, materials, and transportation.
  • Ensure flawless delivery with no downtime between meetings, maintaining a continuous state of readiness.

 

Executive Support

  • Serve as Executive Assistant to the Board, managing travel arrangements, accommodations, dining, and private air travel.
  • Anticipate needs and preferences of Board members, ensuring a personalized and high-standard experience.
  • Build key relationships with executives, including Chief Human Resources Officer, Chief of Staff, and Chief Legal Officer, incorporating feedback related to larger corporate meetings & board engagements.

 

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build trusted relationships with Board members and senior executives, demonstrating discretion, tact, and professionalism.
  • Navigate high expectations with grace and adaptability, ensuring all interactions reflect the company’s values and standards.
  • Work with associates across the organization who are looking to pull together onsite meetings, providing guidance and key vendor contacts

 

Administrative Excellence

  • Maintain detailed calendars, itineraries, and documentation for Board-related activities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure alignment and support for Board initiatives.
  • Plan larger company and corporate events, contributing to overall associate engagement.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in executive support, corporate event planning, and/or board coordination.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills; thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work effectively with high-level stakeholders.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Experience managing travel logistics, including private aviation, is a plus.

Additional Information:

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $80,000 USD - $126,500 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
