Job Description
In this role you will manage all aspects of the Fiberon Tool & Die Program to include inventory control of die tools, embosser systems, and leadership of tooling staff. You will ensure procedures and processes are developed and documentation maintained for the cleaning, maintenance, and quality requirements for all Fiberon tool & die sets, as well as the design and build of new tool & die sets.
YOUR ROLE:
- Manage the preventative maintenance of all Fiberon Extrusion tool & die sets
- Assist Engineering and Senior Management in design reviews of new tooling requirements
- Manage Safety & 5S with work areas
- Oversee tooling design and engineering
- Ensure correct tooling is prepared, staged and ready for all scheduled production
- Ensure each tool has an SOC for each applicable extrusion process
- Assist Engineering and Machine Shop in tuning Fiberon tool sets
- Ensure associates are working in a safe manner, as well as abiding by all company policies and rules.
- Use and read measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauge, etc.
- Supervise associates to ensure adherence to policies and procedures
- Liaise with vendors, senior management and purchasing department for the purchasing and validation of any outside tooling and/or machining requirements
Qualifications
- Requires a high school diploma/GED
- Technical certification to journeyman or equivalent level in tool & die manufacturing
- 5-7 years’ experience understanding extrusion tools and extrusion processes
- 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role
Additional Information
Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $90,000 USD - 130,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
