Job Description

As a National Account Manager for our Moen brand, you'll oversee our partnership with a major retail account, concentrating on in-store assortment, messaging, and aligning with outside sales teams to enhance Moen's visibility among Home Depot's pro and contractor customers. Your role is critical in preserving Moen's leading position, serving as a link between Moen and Home Depot's merchant team's pro strategy. Responsibilities include managing in-store merchandising, training initiatives, promotional planning, and the category management.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree with (5) + years of sales and marketing experience and (2) years’ experience in national account management.  You will have knowledge of the wholesale and retail experience and able to travel approximately 25-30% of the time, including overnights.

This is a hybrid-based role which includes working 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in our Smyrna, GA office.

Compensation will commiserate with experience and will be discussed upon first phone interview with one of our recruiters.

What you will be doing:

  • Achieve annual Top-Line Sales plan for assigned account(s) quarterly, semi-annually, and annually.
  • Influence product transition costs favorably, including markdown/buyback, displays, returns, and logistics.
  • Guide comprehensive product line review presentations for each category.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key influencers across customer departments, serving as a liaison.
  • Assist Sales VP in creating and tracking annual sales forecast, communicating key initiatives.
  • Gain insights into competitors’ strategies through store visits, data, and networking.
  • Internally communicate information and perform regular Product Platform Sheets maintenance.
  • Proactively provide information on key customer initiatives, serving as the voice of the customer.
  • Coordinate with outside agencies if necessary and manage category-wide initiatives.
  • Apply financial understanding to achieve favorable outcomes and minimize costs.
  • Provide direct descriptions of opportunities and propose effective solutions.
  • Assume guidance responsibilities within the National Account Manager team, managing direct reports.
  • Investigate and report process improvements autonomously.
  • Leading business reviews and reporting out results. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of business experience, including 2 years in national account management.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with assigned National Account(s) and SKU-level sales performance.
  • Ability to review market conditions and competition and devise strategic responses.
  • Understanding of Marketing, Operations, and Finance, with mid-level financial metric comprehension.
  • Strong teamwork and ability to work on one’s own.
  • Effective project coordination skills for multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Negotiation skills for win/win solutions in line reviews and daily operations.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50%.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA.
  • Experience supporting The Home Depot as an account.

Additional Information

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $90,000 USD - $110,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
