Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician at our Moen Brand distribution center, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliable operation of automated machinery, conveyor systems, robotics, and more. You will perform both preventive maintenance and repairs, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with engineers to optimize equipment performance. Additionally, you’ll maintain accurate documentation, update the CMMS system, and support facility management efforts to sustain a high-performing environment.

SHIFTS:
- 1st shift: 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- 2nd shift: 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM, Monday through Friday (with a $0.75 shift differential).
- Overtime as required.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in an automated environment, with strong mechanical and electrical skills. You should be proficient in troubleshooting conveyors, robotics, PLCs, and automated systems. Knowledge of preventative maintenance, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and safety procedures are essential.
Pay Range: $28-$38/hour, based on experience and level. This role offers career progression with raises every 90 days. We provide opportunities to grow into higher-level technician roles, each with increased responsibility and pay.
What you will be doing:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair automated machinery and systems, including conveyor systems, robotics, and PLCs.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks (lubrication, calibration, and part replacement) to ensure smooth operation.
- Troubleshoot system issues using diagnostic tools, identifying root causes, and resolving problems in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with engineers and fellow technicians to optimize system performance and implement process improvements.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment by adhering to OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Support training initiatives, mentor new technicians and operators on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, logs, and inventory updates.
- Add and track preventive maintenance tasks in the CMMS system for optimal equipment upkeep.
- Stay updated on industry trends and recommend system upgrades or enhancements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience as a maintenance technician in an automated environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Proficiency in troubleshooting conveyors, robotics, PLCs, and automated systems
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and equipment inspection
- Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for team collaboration
- Availability to work shifts and handle emergency maintenance situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in a relevant field.
- Technical certification.
Additional Information
Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $64,500 USD - $75,504 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
