Job Description

As the Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be a key owner of issue resolution and improvement opportunities, through collaboration with the MasterBrand Operations, Sourcing,  and Product teams, as well as Suppliers on new and current products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background and experience with quality systems and building relationships with suppliers. 

This position will be based at our Goshen, IN plant location. Ideally, you will be present in the plant with some ability to work remotely on occassion. The Goshen plant manufactures our Homecrest Brand of cabinets and has approximately 800 employees. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Build and grow strategic relationships with key stakeholders by providing timely and accurate information in support of business needs.
  • Thorough understanding of full commodity value stream, internal and Supply Chain.
  • Lead problem solving through effective root cause identification, containment, verification, and sustainment.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to assist with resolving supply constraints and identifying and supporting new business strategies.
  • Development and communication of material specifications as well as identifying and resolving specification alignment issues between Operations and the Supplier.
  • Monitor and report supplier performance metrics to include compliance, quality, delivery, and total cost in support of MBCI objectives.
  • Key owner in supplier material qualification process including new supplier assessment

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Operations; Supply Chain or Quality experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively at both the strategic and tactical levels
  • Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing processes with a high degree of analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or equivalent experience required.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Access, etc.)
  • 30-50% travel required
