Job Description

As the Account Receivable Supervisor, you will be a key finance position reporting to the Sr Manager, Finance Shared Services. Responsible for the daily planning and supervision of the accounts receivable department.  Responsible for timely invoicing, cash application, and credit memo processing ensuring guidelines, procedures, and processes are being followed. Assists the manager in identifying areas for improvement and efficiency gains.

We are open to this person being remote within days travel to our Jasper, Indiana Corporate Office. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Implements productivity, quality, and customer service standards
  • Monitor service level trends to timely identify problem areas and take corrective action
  • Supervise staff, overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and service delivery standards are met; provide support in problem resolution
  • Lead team to ensure customer payment and credit memo transactions are posted on a timely basis
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement and related efficiencies
  • Develop an understanding of multiple systems, partnering with IT to streamline, standardize and centralize activities, where possible
  • Develops, directs, plans, and evaluates accounts receivable policies and procedures, to identify and implement continuous improvement and related efficiencies
  • Ensures adherence to external and internal controls
  • Monitors staffing, overseeing recruitment, and other administrative function to ensure smooth function of the department
  • Manages staff performance, development and ensures appropriate training needs are met
  • Regularly engages in special projects related to finance & accounting efficiency improvement goals

  • Associate’s Degree in business finance or accounting, or equivalent experience required
  • 3-5 years accounting and/or receivable experience, including supervisory experience
  • Professional certifications a plus
  • Intermediate or Advanced excel skills
