Job Description

As a General Accounting Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of account balances, and financial statement analysis.  In addition, you will participate in key activities and projects throughout the year using lean tools and the MasterBrand Way as we strive for continuous improvement in everything we do.

Key Accountabilities

  • Preparation of complete and accurate journal entries, by compiling and analyzing appropriate account information
  • Preparation of timely account reconciliations
  • Analyze balance sheet and income statement account fluctuations
  • Assist in the development of best practices, driving process standardization and simplification
  • Develop detailed knowledge of multiple accounting systems (HFM, Oracle EBS, Friedman)
  • Preparation of annual budget and forecast for assigned accounts
  • Completion of reports, analysis and other projects, as needed
  • Maintains financial integrity by following internal controls
  • Maintains professional and technical accounting knowledge

Characteristics & Attributes

  • Strong knowledge in the application of US GAAP and accounting acumen, including multiple currencies
  • Ability to learn multiple accounting systems
  • Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive and solution orientated attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in an efficient manner

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • 1-2 years accounting experience
