Job Description

You will be a key finance team member, reporting to the SVP, General Accounting.  The Shared Services position is responsible for leading a coordinated Corporate Support function for transactional activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash application, vendor and customer data management, and credit and collections to delivering them in a cost-effective manner, promoting operational efficiencies and service improvements to the sales & supply chain departments as well as to MasterBrand’s customers and suppliers.  You will drive the engagement of the organization in special projects related to finance & accounting efficiency improvement goals.

Key Accountabilities

  • Define service delivery standards, balanced between Finance goals and objectives and business expectations
  • Develop and implement work procedures, recommending procedural changes to improve efficiency and drive appropriate management decisions
  • Align with sales & supply chain to ensure a fully-encompassing supplier and customer experience with MasterBrand
  • Supervise staff, overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring procedures are followed and service delivery standards are met
  • Monitor service level trends to timely identify problem areas and take corrective action
  • Establish priorities and key activities, ensuring timely completion of projects
  • Develop plans and strategies to deliver continuous improvement and efficiencies across transactional activities
  • Develop an understanding of multiple systems, partnering with IT to streamline, standardize and centralize activities, where possible
  • Minimize financial risk to the company, by assessing and advising on the creditworthiness of prospective and existing customers
  • Negotiates and advises on the collection of overdue bills and takes appropriate action to recover
  • Deliver on cash management strategies and working capital efficiency targets through management of vendor payments and collection of receivables
  • Monitors staffing, overseeing recruitment and other administrative function to ensure smooth function of the department
  • Manages staff performance, development and ensures appropriate training needs are met
  • Prepares and monitors the Shared Service budget
  • Regularly engages in special projects related to finance & accounting efficiency improvement goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA and/or MBA
  • 7-10 years accounting experience, with significant leadership roles
