Job Description

Summary

 

The goal of the ‘Business Development Manager’ is to meet the software products and services revenue targets for the assigned territory or territories by identifying and mining new customers, developing new relationships with customers, prospects and partners and where required upselling to existing customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute sales for Fortude’s software products and services streams for new leads and prospects.
  • Drive the lead creation and lead qualification process with the marketing and sales team.
  • Grow new sales revenue by identifying, qualifying and converting leads to opportunities and make cold calls when required.
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with customers, prospects and partner networks that can be leveraged to generate leads, contacts and maintain them in the CRM system – salesforce.com.
  • Convert opportunities to closed sales by leveraging all available resources and teams for the assigned territories for products & services
  • Upsell to existing customers when required.
  • Coordinate with the Fortude pre-sales team for preparing proposals, presentations, demos, negotiating contracts and close sales.
  • Work with the marketing and sales team to create and execute marketing, sales, and lead generation campaigns and follow up all related activities and close sales.
  • Prospect, acquire, enable and develop great partnerships for Fortude’s products and services.

Qualifications

  • College or university degree. A degree in IT and or business administration is preferred.
  • 5 to 10 years work experience; with 5+ years’ experience selling software solutions and services.
  • Experience in international sales and managing international customers and partners.
  • Sound understanding of IT systems, software solutions, services, and
  • Experience selling one or more of the following will be an added benefit:
    • Business intelligence solutions
    • Software development services
    • Outsourcing services or application support services
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external business relationships with various levels of management and non-management.
  • Proven ability to effectively work with key client executives along with setting appropriate expectations.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territories if required.
  • Proven ability in working in a highly competitive and demanding sales environment.
